We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the AI companion service
• Process and deliver messages via iMessage
• Personalize your companion's responses and behavior
• Manage your subscription and process payments
• Send you service-related communications
• Improve and optimize our service
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our service (e.g., payment processors, messaging services), subject to strict confidentiality agreements
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government regulation
• Safety and Security: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Aylis, our users, or others
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to users)

We do NOT share your messages or conversation data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or AI training purposes.

Messages: We retain your messages for 30 days after they are sent or received. After 30 days, messages are automatically deleted from our systems.

Account Data: We retain your account information (phone number, email, subscription details) for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained longer for service improvement purposes, but this data cannot be used to identify individual users.

You can request deletion of your data at any time (see "Your Rights" section below).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Secure authentication and access controls
• Regular security audits and assessments
• Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us
• Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain processing of your data
• Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable

We will respond to your request within 30 days. Note that deleting your account will permanently delete all your data, including messages and companion settings.

Our service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information immediately.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. By using our service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
